Helsinki International Conference on Chemical Safety / visual brand identity

Helsinki Reach Centre hosted a global conference on chemicals safety in 2008. We created the visual event brand identity and marketing communications materials for the event which are visually linked with the hosting company. Six cubes form a larger cube that can be seen as flower or snowflake. This symbolises the safety aspect of the event as well as referring to its northern location. In the centre of the symbol is a star shape. This references how the global chemicals industries are gathering to solve the challenge of the new European chemicals safety regulation REACH. In the photos representatives from around the world can be seen learning, balancing and finally mastering how to handle letters spelling “REACH” to symbolise the challenges to be overcome successfully complying with the regulation. The event was hugely successful and had participants from all over the world covering all stages of the supply chains to address REACH implementation.
